To make free auctions with free bids more fair and competitive, we have added a restricted time period at the beginning of the auction where basic members can place one free bid and platinum members can place two free bids. After the restricted time period is up, all users can use the remainder of their free bids per free auction.
The restricted time period is always the first 20% of the auction time. For example, if the auction is ten days long, during the first two days users can place one or two bids based on their membership and after the first two days users can use the remainder of their free bids.
